Well well. Our fine new president, along with solid democrat legislative majorities in the house and senate, have been around long enough to reveal their intentions for the future of America and to this fiscal conservative, it isn’t pretty.
There was some hope early on that maybe, just maybe Obama would recognize the importance in allowing the economy to recover before rolling out some of the more economically damaging elements of his agenda, but he is convinced (and rightfully so) that if he waits until the 2010 midterm election cycle heats up and voters have a chance to see just how over-reaching his plans are, he’d never get them passed.
I have posted several thoughts on my rant blog, as well as facebook, but I don’t want to run off all my politically agnostic friends there, so I’ll just be posting political missives here. (I will link them on facebook occasionally, but I don’t think that will be too big a problem.)
Maybe I can get some of my like-minded friends to join me in posting here.
